Hi Michael, There are numerous newsletters and "clubs" dedicated to Momentum Plays. They pick a stock that's "overdue" and moving up a little - and publish/email their subscribers/members to (MOMO) "..buy this on Tuesday at 10:15...". It would be naive not to presume that the publishers/operators haven't already collected a fat chunk. As I understand it (...not my bag...), the "MOMO" is hoped to jack the price way up on big volume, perhaps surprising the MMs, so the "players" can dump at the high of the day. They then move on to something else...... They can also play on a downward trend, seeing some BS news like the bogus lawsuit, and selling into a panic to help drive it lower. Then, rebuying double their stash at the Low. Hope this helps. John :-)
