Petz,

In order to get a big run up in stock price around earnings time, you have to miss by quite a bit. Compare AMD, NSM and MU.

Comment: Thank you for the valuable price analysis...Your conclusion is definitely one I've experienced the hard way the past 3 months but had never really looked at it in the broader context that you have brought to us...I'll certainly bear it in mind this month...but I have a feeling positive earnings on April 12 will break this trend in April, not unlike the manner in which the Nov. 11 announcement did, in November. Of course if AMD has already run through $70 by earnings date, the week following could suffer a small retracement depending on the degree of strength of earnings...
