You don't seem to realize that in business money talks and Molex is no fool, where money is concerned, and if the money is right in a takeover, I predict this 'block' will turn into a welcome wagon.

Clearly Molex's first concern is acquiring Lumenon's products and based on how the relationship is structured, they've protected their ability to get these products to the extent of being able to block a take-over. No one can buy the company without their cooperation.

I agree there may be circumstances where they'd welcome a take-over, but if Lumenon succeeds in manufacturing usable chips at reasonable prices -- in other words meets their objectives --- the agreement indicates Molex will protect its investment even to the point of impacting shareholder value.

On the other hand, if Lumenon doesn't succeed and Molex decides they're not going to get the products they want, then, yes, I could conceive of them encouraging an offer. It's called a fire sale.

BTW, have you seen Molex's letter to Sheldahl?
