James, Re: There are statistics, and there are "PLAYERS". Just knowing statistics is not enough to make you a winner, you've got to know how to play the game.

Not trying to downplay day trading(I am obviously not
in that camp) but are there daytraders as successful as
Warren Buffet ?

James - re: Why not take say $100,000, out of the money you've made holding MSFT & open a daytrading account and have a little fun.

In my case, I am trying to spend LESS time looking at my investments, not more - my idea of fun has less to do with making money and more to do with spending time with my family any more... I want a "set and forget" portfolio.

You only live once

And it's a beautiful day here in northern California (as well as on Wall Street, apparently). I'd prefer to spend my time somewhere other than hunched over a computer screen watching a ticker. To each, his own.

Cheers!
