Hi jelrod3,

I appreciate your very detailed historical perspective.Sad to say it sounds depressing, however turnarounds are my best money makers.

When kvhi purchased the fiber optic gyro from andrews, there was a large money hole that sucked millions in pure science.I hope they have just recently turned the corner into a commercial application.

I wonder if andrews realized they had bit off more than they could chew.Wisely so if they kept the more promising future technologies.Poor execution if they sold off their only future.

Wireless is certainly the future.I wonder if Andrews has a forward looking plan. If not it may well be more of the sorry same you have so well outlined Thank you .

It seems they would have more as what they sold to KVHI was quite advanced stuff. I'm inquisitive and perhaps naively optimistic.BWDIK

jelrod,

It's obvious that you've taken a short term time period and slump in ANDW's business and formed an unecessarily bearish opinion of the company and management. Do you realize that this same management has guided the company through tremendous growth over the past 10 years? ANDW was a $3 stock in the early 90s. Investors have a 1000% return if they've held for 10 years. Does a 2 year slow down in wireless expansion mean that the company is a loser? No.

You will notice that the company and the stock is working its way out of the slump. You would not have recognized this potential by looking at the performance in 1998 and 1999. Some times you need to look at the larger picture.
