Show me a laptop with a smaller battery...or a longer lasting battery...then show me the patents, and maybe it would make sense

or show me laptop innards that require substantially less power...like new tech screens.

or show me battery lighting apps that consume 12x less power.

both of which get you either longer lasting battery or a smaller battery.
all of course, as you said, well protected by patents.

I'm jumping into this conversation in midstream without the available time to check if this company was mentioned here...

Valence Technology, Inc. (Ticker VLNC)
I noticed them a few month's ago, after reading an article coining them "The Qualcomm of Batteries".
They supposedly have several patents protecting their new Lithium Polymer batteries. They claim that these last longer and are safer than today's equivalents. I believe I read something about them being able to be molded to fit in odd shaped forms, making them ideal for wireless appliances.

I'm going with what I can barely remember, so take this with a bag of salt...

If this company has already been discussed here, I apologize.
If not, I could see what else I can dig up if interested...
