"How about anti-semetic? eom."

Wow, where did that come from?

I guess QCOM has gone up in the last few days so the newly encouraged have come over here to ask the same question over and over.

Time will tell. Glad I have Nokia in my portfolio.

We're probably better off not mixing religious and racial theories with telecom discussion. That's just too bizarre. What's next? Cow mutilation and Area 51 as parts of a sinister plan devised by the GSM world cabal?

If you're into thinly veiled racist bile - why don't you check out the China references at the QCOM thread?

If QCOM fans don't sense the desperation lurking beneath Hitachi announcement, that's their call. Would Qualcomm really feel the need to announce every single week that cdma2000 and W-CDMA are the same thing, if they were totally confident? The lady doth protest too much.

The Hitachi deal tells us nothing of Nokia's W-CDMA IPR. I'm not anti-Qualcomm - I'm anti-hype. And that's what Qualcomm's recent technology initiatives are made of.

Globalstar, cdma2000, CDMA for the 450 MHz frequency that will be vacated by NMT in Europe.... it's a Hall of Shame of failed standardization initiatives.

Globalstar is tanking as a new standard, W-CDMA will end up outselling cdma2000 by at least ten to one, the 450 MHz frequenzy will be used by GSM-450/900 dualmode phones.

Nokia clearly stated that W-CDMA is the future global 3G standard way back in 1996. Qualcomm clearly stated that cdma2000 will be the winner. Now Q is trying to muddy the waters and claim that actually W-CDMA is their standard after all. This does not fit with what the company was saying in 1997. You may not remember - but I do.
