Kenneth, I'm not one to argue finance with one who has initials after his name since I am a rookie investor, so I will just quote from an investment guide book and I will look forward to those with more experience for guidance. "The reason that we do make a point of talking about income taxes here is because some companies record much lower income tax rates due to tax-loss carryforwards. Our government gives money-losing enterprises credits against future taxes when (and if) they eventually turn a profit." Could it be a semantics? Looking forward to clarification so I can someday pass finance 101. Plodding forward, Paul
