Serious business should take place in the "KITCHEN".

My thoughts on the matter.

JW,
One for the office....
Looks like some accumulation going on in the Q here. Nice to see the north side of 140 for a change. Do you think we need a 40 million volume day to signal a breakout? Tks.

re: new thread.

Let's just keep Volt's Porch intact. I for one will limit my OT conversations to PM's occasional jokes may surface. No need for splintering.....again....IMHO

Voltaire and Jim Willie - My husband thanks you both for his plane. Here's another success story for you both.

My husband wanted to be a pilot and own a plane since he was a small boy. He got his pilot's license at 19 but he had to wait for his 46th birthday on March 12th for his plane.

Last fall I had $10,000 in the plane account and had been following you both on the QCOM board when I finally plucked up courage to buy 1 QCOM call (against all advice from my Merrill Lynch broker). One call led to another and nobody will forget QCOM Day on Dec 29th when I had the grand total of 8 calls.

I sold on Dec 31st and bought an assortment of calls with mixed results but, on the whole, they just kept going up. As the size of the account increased, so did the size and price of my husband's dream plane! I finally put a limit both on the size of the plane and it's price. If not, I'm sure I'd be working my way towards a Lear Jet.

I followed you both over to the Porch and now my husband's second question when he gets home from work is "What did Voltaire and Jim Willie say today?" His first question is always "How did the plane account do today?"

A couple of weeks ago the plane account reached the goal of $250,000 and off he went to Fort Wayne, Indiana, to check out a Cessna 303 Crusader. Of course he bought it!

We both wanted to let you know what a difference you have made to our lives. To Hans' life, because he finally has his plane after 40 years. To my life, because I no longer have to listen to him harping on about it <g>.

Also, $10,000 to $250,000 in 4 months wasn't bad going for a beginner and I'm wondering what I can make once I know what I'm doing. Please keep up the good work Voltaire, Jim Willie and all the other Porch Dwellers - we appreciate it more than you know, especially on the bad days!

With thanks,

Book Bag

Ignitions are firing for QCOM

This news regarding Hitachi was not particularly huge. Just think what is going to happen when serious news develops.

The last time I went to Cuba, QCOM started its launch on the Thursday before I left and officially went into orbit when I was gone. Today's Thursday. I leave tomorrow. Uh-oh. Anyone got a match? Maybe QCOM needs a Cohiba.

This is multi-million shares grinding over 140 lately, Jim. It's funny, though, occasional larger lots move the tics down at times. But still staying above 141 solidly. It's not taking on the appearance at this point of being solely a short cover rally. The day is young, though.

Jim,

I think I see a Qcom cup & handle with the bottom of the cup Jan, 28th at 105 (blow off panic selling), handle beginning Feb. 29th (also high point of handle) @ 48, followed by decreasing volume (until today). I see the "pivot point" being at 48. If Q could break above 48, then it could be a powerful breakout and off to the races. Would you agree? Any other TA comments? Or is this just Voodoo.

Thanks,
Pinhi
