Most of the time...yep. However, sometimes some need to take the chance. It can wipe out a portfolio if one doesn't have money somewhere to bail them out. :(

In my case..my uncle helped a lot.

Greg, <OT> do your sources show anything happening to cause the spurt up in MEAD? Is this a short squeeze, Gilder enthusiasm or is there real news out there? I bought it as the only way I could see to participate in TeraBeam -- kind of a crap shoot since we don't know how much of the TeraBeam gizmo they are making and what the $ potential is.
