re I keep my fun money in a separate account
That's an interesting way to keep from "fun moneying" too high a percent of one's portfolio.
But since I use margin, I need my solid core to "protect" my margin % while I do some of the "funny stuff". Also the strategies on Vector Vest have been back tested and have not received a margin call in the last one or two years.
This market is so strong, and yet so "overvalued", it gives me the willies.
Even gorillas can fall for a while: cisco has had some massive corrections, but I guess it's ok, and that's the time to go hike, ski, whatever, and not take any pagers, cellphones, or other ways to check stocks!
