Imaging Diagnostic Receives Fourth Patent FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Imaging Diagnostic Systems Inc., (OTC Bulletin Board: IMDS - news) announced today that it has received notice from the U.S. Patent Application Agency, that their patent filed November 6, 1997, for: ``APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE PERIMETER OF THE SURFACE OF AN OBJECT BEING SCANNED,' will be issued on March 28, 2000, as Patent No. 6,044,288. This additional patent covers an optical technique to determine the perimeter of a scanned breast. IDSI's patent 6,029,077 covers a different technique to perform the same measurement. Together, these two patents protect the practical techniques that can be used to acquire this information. Imaging Diagnostic Systems has developed the world's first patented laser- based breast imaging device, known as the CTLM(TM), that utilizes state-of-the-art laser technology and patented computed algorithms that create contiguous cross sectional slice images of the breast without the use of breast compression or x-rays.
