Carl, <When Intel finally gets their ship of fools repointed away from the waterfall, they will begin announcing DDR chipsets.>

What you don't realize is that Intel has already announced DDR support, yet still remains committed to Rambus. Yes, this is a change in position from last year, when Intel was gung-ho on Rambus, but that's no big revelation. Intel's current positioning is for RDRAM in desktops and workstations, and DDR in servers. There will definitely be some overlap, but it looks like both RDRAM and DDR can coexist in the marketplace. Even IBM hinted at such a coexistence when they said their DDR introduction would not displace RDRAM.

I think your expectation is that since Intel went from being gung-ho on Rambus to being memory-bilingual, they'll continue to retreat from Rambus. But last February's IDF sure didn't look like a retreat to me. In fact, the mention of Timna migrating from an SDRAM translator to a native RDRAM interface in the near future speaks volumes on Intel's outlook on Rambus. You see DDR and PC100/133 SDRAM support as the start of a retreat; I see it as stop-gap measures until RDRAM technology and production matures.

As for new design wins, well, you see what you see, and I see what I see. Let's just leave it at that.

Bilow, you should be a little careful when stating things as fact...especially when they are simply your opinion. There are currently groundbreaking lawsuits with corporations filing suit against individuals on stock message boards.

I don't believe in any of your propaganda, and furthermore I can't stand your condescending, patronizing attitude. I won't battle you on this message board, but be warned that others are watching.

Dear Rambus Investor Relations,

I am an investor in your company and as you know; the past several months have been difficult. I am dismayed by the continuous assault of rumors and false propaganda from the technical press and even the stock message boards. It is very hard to differentiate fact from fiction, I hope for the sake of some of your investment community, that your company will begin addressing some of these issues.

Although I don't typically place alot of credence in the information that is posted on stock message boards, I believe the following excerpts from the Silicon Investor board are worth taking a look at. The posted information seems to be false, misleading and possibly even slanderous. I hope you will look into it.
