reI might also mention that I got off margin in January and I sleep well at night

Congratulations to making the "right moves".
Nothing stops me from sleeping. In fact, because I need a nap around lunchtime (I dont get to bed early enough) I can put my head down on the desk and sleep for 10-15 minutes soundly just like it was a comfortable bed.)
But I have to admit I wish I was out of margin in January because it would mean I would have sold all my 00 and 01 Qcom calls a lot nearer the high than they are now!!!!

"Again, I think it depends upon how one uses margin. Margin is a good tool during a bull market, lousy during a bear..."

I agree that margin can be useful to an astute investor but my concern is the underlying psychology. In a rising, raging bull market, like this one , it is easy for a individual investor to over estimate his or her skill in dealing with the psychology of the market and their own emotions.

I'm content with the results of GGing.

But hey, what do I know. Before I RTFM I bought AMD.
