Dear Tenchusatsu: Probably all boils down to cost. If this DDR technology is a lot cheaper, which I have heard it is as of now, its gonna be popular, IMHO. If RMBS has to come down swiftly in price there goes there margins. I dont think I would want to be buying RMBS at these levels until some answers are forthcoming. As you likely know, I have been bugging everyone who appears to know what they are talking about as to whether or not to get RMBS for myself. So far, the answers are ambigous at best. JDN

RE:"But Intel hasn't, despite what Carl (a.k.a. Bilow) is predicting Intel will do. That either means Intel isn't smart, or Rambus is still a very viable memory technology. You decide from there."...

Doesn't really matter what I would do because I'm not Intel but I know how they think. They will still try to push RAMBUS (but will back off a little for now) but will also cover their behind and push DDR as well. Then gradually try to phase RMBS back in later down the road. Lord knows they wouldn't want a standard to get away from them.
