Interesting article in Business week regarding DSPs and processors. In summary, they predict that not only will DSPs overtake processors over the next --- years but that every processor will have a DSP integrated into it. I wonder if this is why Intel bought DSP Communication last year. I also wonder what AMD's strategy will be in regards to this. It looks to me that Intel has taken the lead once again. Some people preferred to focus on speed, price etc. but often forget that in technology major paradigm shifts leave lagging competitors in the dust.
