I can read between the lines. Intel is making a huge company shift in its focus from PC processors to network solutions. They are aiming to be an end to end network powerhouse and have bought just about every kind of networking/telecom player. The ones they have not bought they have made agreements with. The CEO has even been quoted as saying they are spread too thin and are experiencing some growing pains. That means it will just take a little longer to pump out the products.

I also read that the line sharing ruling that the CLEC's won that forces the Bells to allow phone lines to have DSL run on them is not going to be widely accepted until June. That is when I think things are going to explode here in the US. G.Lite will be in demand for its simplicity and the CLEC's will really be able to reduce their costs and add to their household numbers. Right now, I think the use of microfilters on full rate ADSL is what is taking place. I read that 90% of the RBOC's installations are not requiring truck rolls. I don't know if that is microfiltered ADSL or G.Lite or a combination of both. The CLEC's I believe are requiring truck rolls for most customers except in the areas that the ILEC's are being cooperative. It is one jumbled mess of dog poop. Intel is going to help push standards in the industry and the line sharing will point to G.Lite as one of the cost effective ways to implement DSL quickly. Once all the posturing and legal crud gets flushed out, the DSL numbers will increase even faster. I hate to say it, but we are still a few more months away from all the dust settling. However, I think revenues from Aware reporting in April will be great based on international demand like Scrapps pointed out.
