<< i bought 15 calls on stratacom back then (a 7,000 dollar investment). stratacom was bought by cisco in a one share for one share merger. i exercised the 15 cisco call contracts. i now have 13,500 shares.

listen to your taxman. there is no such thing as an overpriced put or call. buy them--don't sell them. >>

Congratulations on your success.

This single post makes it easier to understand where you are coming from, and why you have adopted the approach that you have.

I freely admit my jealousy, so temper this post with that admission if you want.

When you have repeated this process successfully, over many purchases of options, over many types of markets (bear markets as well as the greatest bull market in history), please do let us know. It will then become easier to believe in your mantra that option buyers are more likely to be successful than option sellers.

There is a market saying that I have heard...never confuse wisdom with a bull market.
