El,
This remains the most ageless Compaq post I have ever read.

Has CPQ bottomed? Or is there more downside to come? Is this a
buying opportunity? Or should we wait on the sidelines to see?
Should we sell?

Thanks,
Stan

El, gave the number a try and got a message saying to leave a message and they will return the call.

The better companies that I've invested in, in light of the attention that has been given to the rumor, would come out and say that they still stand by their most recent guidance if nothing materially has changed.

So either something has changed and they're not ready to talk about it or the management is crap.

Given the history of this company it could be both or either.

If they do come out and support the shareholders by reiterating their guidance if the rumor really is false, then I would have to say Capellas is great.

Given the volume and attention associated with the rumor I would have to say there is something behind it and the company has a responsibility to its shareholders to comment on its previously stated guidance.
