Jim, Re: OK, but, honest, how much money, as a percentage of your portfolio, do you guys put into an AMD?

Much less than his INTC(dollar wise) backed when Jim still held it.

Tonee,
RE:"OK, but, honest, how much money, as a percentage of your portfolio, do you guys put into an AMD? I'd personally be scared sh*tless with any reasonable amount in a stock like that. With stocks like Intel and Cisco, I can sleep at night. And a double every year or so is plenty"

Sleep at night? What's that.
Too be honest with you AMD is a very small part of my portfolio. Below 5%. I know from the wars around here some might think it's all or nothing.
OTOH, one can learn a lot here. I don't like those POM POM threads (TM Tony Viola) either. Face it, you hang out here for the ruckus too...<G>

Tony, I've been writing puts on AMD for a long time now and I recently started buying AMD shares with the put premiums. I've now got a respectable holding that I never paid for! And I also write CCs on those shares and of course buy more shares with the premium.
