Brian/Jeffry,
For a long time now we have been discussing the differences between NAS and SAN as well as their meanings. I can understand Brian's terse response since there would be so much effort involved in trying to explain things. On the other hand, most of us have benefited greatly from months of careful and patient explanations from people like Downsouth. And, I bet most of us did not know the difference between the two archtectures when we bought in. Many of us probably still don't.

In any case Jeffry, I am sure someone will find an earlier post or find a good explanation of the technologies and post it here. I will be on the lookout for some posts. Maybe I have bookmarked the.

On the other hand. DS is the master and if he has offered to bring you up to speed via PM take advantage of him...
