That was just a little humor to balance a serious post.
Actually I'm quite fond of Southwest cooking.

If I really wanted to say something disparaging about Texans, I'd talk about the boots. I thought NYC women had the crown for impractical, uncomfortable footware. But many men from Texas seem to take great pride in wearing boots which would only be reasonable attire if they were on horseback.

I think there's an awful lot of good things to say about the character of Texans in general.
But we've all got our foolish little foibles which others can see better than we can,
and for you Texans, it's the boots, imho.
