Zeev: In 1998, a cocky "Earlie" had his ears pinned back by being too early to short companies with broken fundamentals. I now prefer to snipe at gunshot victims (mortally wounded) as they fall into their graves. Expensive lessons lead to modified strategies. (g) I do not view Intel as a gorilla. Yes its market cap suggests this status, but its operating results, lost market share, antagonistic relationship with its clients, soggy market for its micro products, and panicky response to its problems don't support the myth. Intel's stock price floats on a fast shriveling past reputation, inept analysts' pimping and a momentum-driven market. The facts as posted by the company over the past several quarters outline decay.
