thanks for the heads up, tc

i subscribe to the langalist, but for some reason (too much email as it is?) i skimmed right over this spyware link. but now i've downloaded the software and ran both scans and they "found no trace of known intrusive adbots, parasites, or spyware systems."

one less thing to be concerned about... for now. i haven't configured the scan to run on start up, but may do that one day. for now i'll keep the desktop icon visible to remind me to run the scan periodically.

thanks again, tc.

:)

I am not familiar with this newsletter. I was reading a little and it said that it removes "infected" dll files which can cripple your infected program. Do you have to replace these files later? Does the program tell you what files are being removed?

Thanks for the link to the newsletter.

What is "spyware?"

What does he mean when he says "Removing the DLL codes will prevent the infected programs from running ...?"

Which of the two programs do you suggest?

Best wishes,
