Jon,

Well then I guess that settles it. I guess that leaves Sony out of the picture as a potential licensee of the MicroOS. Hmm, I do wonder though how they will enter the market with a multi-codec/DRM device without transcoding. Any ideas?

Cheers.

jon, i disagree.. people put out propietary product to gain market share especially before standards arrive. when standards arrive the manufacturer for the most part is forced to embrace them. now where does edig play in the equation? a player that can player a proprietary format and a standard format as the industry matures. not ony that. they can play others proprietary formats as well. its a beautiful thing.. can others do it. i hope so. if they can't or don't they will miss the boat. all edig needs is 5%,10%,15% of that multi-billion dollar market. heck, i've seen companies have 5% of the domestic market and 75% of the foreign market. go edig!! cnep
