Jpthoma1 made a goog comparison using the Virginia deposit.

They (Placer-Dome ans msv) have been trying to mine two times the eastmain deposit. Even though the deposit has a grade of 13,6g/tAu or 0,4oz/t, they have not been able to make money.

So, to give you a better idea about the ddh results you must keep in mind, the grade, the width, the structure, the depth where the mineralization was cutted and where is the property.
