hi hio: So they are going to remove the big red "Q"? I hear a rumour that it will be replaced with a big golden "M" for "Mike" but McDonalds have threatend a trade mark infringement law suit.

"But that is about to change, we are given to understand, with Compaq "lifting every stone around" to see if there's anyone who might crawl out of the organisation. ......

No one from Compaq was available for comment at press time."

Really? This has the making of a good rumor. I conclude from the article and CPQ's non-response response.. that head-count is up & not down. Once they lift all the stones, they will find they are paying employees they didn't know about. This has caused earnings an earnings shortfall.

I am starting to get a "Not Ready For Prime Time" view of management. I had been giving the new CEO the benefit of doubt but yesterdays performance didn't fill me with confidence. When someone calls your wife a whore..yelling real loud from the rooftops "NO COMMENT!" doesn't seem to meet the exigencies of the situation.
