Long Holds - yes, some dating back to mid 90s
Short term holds - yes anticipated holding period 1 day to month or two (provided they don't tank and have "investor" stamped on them
trading account- holding period minutes to days.
risky speculative account - nope
most traders say that your most important asset is your capital. i would argue that equal in importance is your time and energy. every time i cull my portfolio, take the losses, dump the still-born, i see significant improvement in my results. i am able to focus on fewer issues, don't have to "check" so many stocks so often. good luck today, larry

Sue, on these speculative stocks...have you checked AUTC and FONX?...I bought some AUTC but haven't had the nerve to pull the trigger on FONX though my source seems to think it is a good one also.
