Strange that you mention AMAT, I'm still holding this stock.
I think some of these semicaps actually still have "value". Specifically AMAT, KLIC and CYMI. Forward PE's are still reasonable while these stocks post blowout earnings. I am guessing that the cyclicality of the semiconductor-equipment subsector will dampen going forward as these stocks become less and less dependent on computer chips and gain more business from networking and communications. I believe analysts are taking a wait and see on this, and upward revisions are imminent.
To stay on topic, I am looking to sell off most of my HAL here and rotate to a quality OSX play with good upside potential and at least some level of earnings visibility. Something bugs me about the way HAL has way underperformed the OSX. I am not one to hang around on the Titanic while a life boat is staring me in the face (like at least one member of this board). Looking at RIG or NE to move into, maybe SLB? Any thoughts?
