I will argue against you in spirit PT, in that I think the idea of using stop loss orders for profit taking can be a valuable technique in a market strategy. Even though I rarely use this method.

But I will agree with you in that hanging out an order is an invitation for plucking... Instead set a price alarm of some sort to alert you to a drop that would cause you to sell assuming this is your MO.

There are many ways to make money.
