Mike, I don't know how carefully you listened to Mark Zionts' talk at the Plaza Hotel last month, but he does try to explain in general terms how WSTL adds compatibility at earlier physical layers because of its awareness of DSLAM and CPE issues. (About 3/4 of the way through the discussion if I recollect correctly). If you haven't listened to it, it is well worth listening to if you have any doubts concerning WSTL's unique position.

He also makes it CLEAR that ADSL modems are on 24/7 and are not equivalent to 56K modems etc., but are actually more like routers. The market that places them in computers is not the market WSTL wants to be into. As he puts it, its $129 today, and $29 next year. (Or some number like that). ADSL is truly a networking technology for the house and applies to many devices that will attach to the internet simultaneously.

All the best,
Michael

WSTL --

Did you guys see the WSTL option QLWEF? It had 2500 vol today, one trade 2000 @ 8 7/8 and another 500@ 8 7/8 while the bid/ask was 8 1/2 x 9.

Let's hope those 2 trades are "buy to open"

L.
