Over on Stockhouse, vliet wondered why Haywood would be selling at this point.

My response follows:

My guess about the Haywood selling is simply that they have soooo many shares they can afford to just put shares out at different increments and sell them as the price chews upwards.

Thanks to Keith's DD, we know that if they start dumping there could be something wrong. Therefore, maybe they are simply locking in profits on the way up.

Think about this: they can put 5,000 shares on the ask in 5 cent increments from here to $13, and when the price breaks through $13, they'll still have two thirds of their shares left. In the meantime, they've sold 1,000,000 shares at an average price of $8. I doubt if the market could handle 1,000,000 shares being dumped by Haywood at $8. So it could just be a smart way for them to lock in profits.
