I registered an interest in Alta Vista's free internet service in the UK a while back and today I got an e-mail from them thanking me and informing me that I will be contacted by an independent research firm. They want to research the needs of their future clientele before they start the service in a monh or two. No other ISP has done that.

victor...Unfortunately I don't
speak Norwegian....

However, in the case of the website
the pictures have spoken more than a
thousand words.

Victor,

Against my better judgement, I also followed the link and at first thought I had found a site for a radio station - KFUK and all.... This image was reinforced by all the pictures of bands, singers, concerts and what looked like a cooking show???

Then I chose the "English Version" link and, sure enough, it appears to be the Norwegian YMCA-YWCA site. What a disconnect between the two sites.

What kind of twisted YMCA could this be when they are "making sick phone calls to [his] home" and bothering him often. I mean, I could understand a radio show, but the "Y"?

I, too, would be angry alot about that.

It affected me so much, I had to send Henrik's URL to all my friends so they could ponder this case of cyber dissonance.

chuckles (and I am, too)
