Oh? Gee, it was my recollection that CSCO doesn't have an OC-192 for its routers yet. Won't til Q4/00.

Curtis I do believe NT must have something to sell in this space! I've only begun my market share research but have already found this quote taken from the RHK rankings (dated January of this year).

"Nortel is No. 1 in the SONET/SDH space with 26 percent share of a market that will be worth $15 billion. Pirelli (i.e. Cisco) was not ranked in that space."

As you know market share is critical during the tornado phase (fiber optics is definitely a tornado right now). Moore states that once market share is established during the tornado then it is never relinquished. That is why I am following NT so much and believe Cisco's delay in entering the fiber optic arena is going to really, really hurt them.
