Breasts are both nutritive and erotic. As you know, people are always in season. When a man hums "I'm in the mood for love ..." the woman too often replies "You're always in the mood for love!" It is one of the great tragedies of life that young men in their late teens are usually at their most vigorous and erotic (and their most callow and pimply) and women in their 40's are often at their sexual peaks. Many a man turns away from the wife of his youth in his 40's to young,virginal girls in their teens. Now, back to breasts. I believe women are the only mammals that retain full breasts even when they are not lactating or in season. In particular, gorillas are notorious for their lack of sexual differentiation with respect to breasts except when the female is lactating. I think this is why humans are the only mammals that are fully bipedal and have fully functioning hands. The gripping reflexive instinct in infants is powerful (many can hold themselves up by their hands when only a few days old). And what else do infants have to hang onto except breasts (unless the woman is particularly hairy)? IMO it would be astounding if people were not fascinated by breasts. It would also be amazing if children who had been deprived of the breast didn't grow up to resent their mothers who refused to nurse them, and their wives if they refused to gratify their powerful oral impulses. Oral sex for men usually consists (at least initially) in seeking to suck their partners' breasts. Oral sex for women interested in men has to transfer its object from the breast to the penis, and a preference for oral sex by women who have been deprived of oral gratification by the mother is probably quite common. Lesbian oral fixation on the partner's breast is quite common, and surely must be one of powerful attractions of Lesbianism as a sexual orientation especially to women who have been deprived of oral gratification by their mothers. That story of the child who was dumbfounded by the woman in the facing seat of the 727 nursing her child suggests very strongly that he was never breast fed nor had a younger sibling who was suckled. I think it would be an excellent idea if children could learn by observation that milk doesn't come in paper cartons.
