Didn't Jerry say the all wafer starts were on .18u at FAB 25 last October or November? (at least the Athlon)
OTOH, who's to say that Spitfire isn't a .13u-.18u hybrid or at least some kind of partial shrink. Or they did some cache tricks...

Fab 25 is already fully converted to 0.18. It has been converted for a while. Fab 25 will not have copper at 0.18 (if ever), only at Dresden. Where do you get the copper story on fab 25?

Ted,

<you don't think Fab 25 will be converted to 0.18um>

Athlon at Fab25 is already at 0.18. Scumbria is talking about a further shrink. I think it has to do with Spitfire design and layout and nothing to do with process - when I confirm I will post.

<my understanding that Fab 25 will be converted to both copper and 0.18 ...>

I doubt if Fab25 will ever go to Cu. Where have heard the copper story?

Chuck
