I hope you know I agree. My husband provided a very excellent set of genes and then proceeded to be the best father ever.

You have reminded me of the airline strikes when the pilots told management that they were the most important people becuase without them the planes didn't fly, which was true, but without us, asserted management, the planes you pilots fly would be empty, and the baggage handlers said, yeah, but without us, people have to wear the same underwear their whole vacation.. It's a complicated and mutually dependent entity, whatever kind of family you consider.

I made that up about the baggage handlers. But it COULD be true.

It is not accurate to describe the male as providing the "Blueprint" for a human life...LoL!

DNA is the "blueprint" for building organic life...!

Each parent brings the same amount of DNA.

The male gamete brings 23 chromosomes-

The Female gamete has 23 chromosomes-

It takes the single spermatazoan about 20 minutes to break the surface of the Ova, [conception] creating a Zygote.

The Zygote has 46 chromosomes and is distinctly individual genetically.
