Re: "I bought back my April 60's at 3 3/4 for a small gain at the end of trading."

Comment: Great decision, imho...A lot of misplaced uncertainty exists with respect to AMD at the moment, particularly around AMD's price cuts at the 850, 900 and 950 level...Can't help thinking there is a silver lining in AMD's not be awarded the Xbox with its close to, imho, non-existant margins. AMD is now free to direct a sizeable portion of its resources towards the capturing the 850 MHz level and up niche, where limited at best, competition exists, and where there is a great deal of room for margin play, particularly now that negative Xbox margins are not a factor...Concerning demand at 850 MHz and above, my guess is there is no shortage...as there exists a large segment of North Americans who will always pay a small premium to buy the best...the wealth created by current market prosperity has only enlarged this already sizeable segment...AMD's Athy strategy to date has been flawless, as evidenced by the successful surmounting of all formidable hurdles (i.e mobo's, ease in moving from 500 to 1000 MHZ in 7 months) that have been put in place to date...There is zero reason to believe that the price reductions announced today in the top end is anything but the playing of yet another AMD card from a hand in which there appears an unlimited supply of trumps! This latest move will focus much attention on Athy 850's and above and, imho, virtually ensure a sizeable market share increase and a very, very successful Q2...It just keeps getting better and better!
