As an Ex-Hyperion employee (left the leaking ship 6 months ago), there was no action by management to retain their good people. In fact, the latest revision to their consulting staff comp plan actually reduced comp to the most senior people! It should be no suprise that they are losing people left and right. I don't know what the internal environment is today, but they clearly are adrift with their products - Their Pillar product is 1988 technology and they haven't come out with a replacement (yet), the Enterprise product is good, but has saturated it's market. Essbase is a strong product, but Hyperion torpedoed the partner structure that made it sucessful. All the talk about their Internet strategy seems to be just that - talk. Hard to justify their PE with those items lurking below the surface.
