Kevin,

excellent post, and it isn't because I agree 100% with your views expressed.....I do. I have no doubt we will begin to see these issues turn into a heated debate in the coming months. I was actually surprised to see the beginnings of this discussion starting on CNBC this evening.

That's why I started a thread last Tuesday to discuss our concerns over this issue and how it relates to the market.

Subject 33965
Message 13250627

Yes, when the market becomes rattled the economy will slow down.....people will be forced to shelve and abandon plans for building new homes, starting new businesses, even sending kids to certain schools after they find their investments have taken big hits in the market. Wealth will vanish in thin air overnight because some catalyst shocked the markets, in the past it has only been caused by one of two events....war and or an action taken by the Federal Reserve.

since the markets now move in compressed time and react more swiftly then ever before these actions take on greater significance. So, I'm much more afraid of being shot out of the sky as opposed to the "soft landing" the fed says it's engineering for us. I prefer natural market forces to correct the excesses in the market....they are very efficient.

ps. Your post belongs on the thread above.....you can speak on this subject all you want there.

Jeff
