SNDK: Watch and Wait

Cha2,

You are absolutely correct that SNDK's situation is quite different from VISX. My reference to VISX was simply as illustration of the dramatic tumble a share price can if a company rightly or wrongly loses an issue in patent litigation. That probably explains why I hold SNDK and never did buy VISX.

Use of a stop loss as a safeguard should the share price drop, e.g., go down 50 percent, is up to the individual.

But SanDisk is in this thread's watch and wait portfolio. This thread discussed SNDK (shortly after Thanksgiving '99 and again with Apollo's post of Ausdauer's post on 12/15:

Message 12301195

and that the ruling in the patent litigation v. Lexar would be a seminal event for SanDisk.

So, we "watch and wait" for that critical ruling and stand ready to margin the heck out of our accounts if it breaks in SNDK's favor. <vbg>
