I agree.. I think it was also due to the strong money flow into semiconductors and also money back into the old techs. Frankly, there aren't that many old techs... you only got msft, sunw, csco, orcl, etc.

compared to the new techs, the list is longer.

when market is unstable, money always goes into the good old leaders.. (that's why I stick those old techs into the long term portfolio and not worry about it too much..)

when i saw the penny stocks and OTC:BB stocks running, i sensed that the euphoria and speculation was climaxing.
