OT OT re ATHM.Glenn, there are some informative posts on the ATHM thread, and also on clearstation. The marketing division is under some harsh criticism of late.

With the growth of new internet subscribers, broadband coming to the fore, and the most recognizable brand in high-speed conectivity, I cant understand why the stock is performing so poorly.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but hasn't the point been made that many AOL subscribers exist merely because of the proliferation of the brand, and the hassle of switching. A non techie, non surfing, internet newbie has probably heard of AOL, and will likely use AOL.
We were both in and out of TERN before IT got any real attention.
Glenn, Maybe we are just too early on ATHM.

Glenn, I just put in a Athm cable modem service last week.
Other than downloads I'm not impressed.
When they have the technology to use the cable modem for uploading capability, then maybe I'll like it. Right now I can only upload data at the speed of the phone connection.
DSL was my first choice because I have it here in Seattle, but unfortunately its not available yet in my area down in San Diego.
ps
It's cheap though.
