Wayne: I agree completely. It is an incredibly short sighted bet and as you point out, fraught with risk. It amazes me that anyone would ignore that stunning trade deficit, (never mind the huge global U.S. treasury debt, the massive U.S. corporate debt and the insolvent state of the U.S. consumer), particularly given the way in which such deficits have been dealt with in the past. Unfortunately, foreign investors have been sucked in by the "action" in the U.S. stock markets and "the grass is greener" concept. As you note, they face a tsunami. Best, Earlie
