Here is a weekend report on disk drive pricing from a sample of retail distributor drives. The drives include 329 samples from 6 different distributors.

The average sample of disk drive prices remained stable last week.

Less than 11gb --- down 1.0%
11gb to 21gb --- down 1.3%
Greater than 21gb --- down 2.4%

This quarter is experiencing an interesting shift. At the beginning of the quarter the most stable prices were in the category of less than 11gb. Near the end of the quarter the most stable prices are now at the category of less than 21gb and greater than 11gb. This shift in stability could be related to shifts in demand.

Regards,
Mark
