It sounds like OPEC is only legitimizing what they're already producing. I wonder how many countries other than Mexico will actually produce more? Who gets to increase production and by how much?

Big Bull, this is from today's Houston Chronicle, I wish these hypocritical arrogant lawmakers, both Rep. and Dem. would admit that OPEC and friends don't have to
Kiss the As- of the US. The US keep's trying to impose itself on others, when all there doing is running there oil business the same way the US would if the situation was reversed. America blames OPEC, well the liberal imposed windfall profit tax of the 70's, gave the Gov. more income but helped kill a good portion of the industry. I believe in the environment as much as anyone, however; it's gone so far that the politicians are scared to death to propose drilling off the US coast's (except TX,La, and Miss) and help reduce dependence on foreign oil, it's easier to blame and threaten some one else (OPEC) than accept responsibility for our own actions and problems. California, and New York are the first to cry about high oil/gas prices as they SCREAM don't drill in my neighborhood, Bull S--T!
People cheer about lower oil prices, and never think or bother to help the oil field worker or related worker that looses his home, or can't support his family.
I saw it in the 80's, as 4 of the 10 homes on my cul-de-sac were foreclosed on and friends lost everything as property values dropped as much as 70%. If I'd not sold my
57 T Bird which I had purchased with money saved while in Nam, I would have been #5. I was lucky, which is more than I can say for hundred's of thousand's of others.
