Dear JCJ: You must originally have lived out here. How else would you know our closely guarded secret, that for the ultimate game fishing experience, nothing quite beats a day on a party boat fishing for oysters. Some die-hards use 9 wt. fly rods but my preference is a Penn spinning reel with 30 lb. test line.

Since I prefer clams to oysters, I normally go clam fishing. These little guys do not take the brute-strength to land that oysters do but boy, oh boy, do they put up a good fight! For clams, my rod of choice is a 6 wt. fly. I use a floating line and poppers.

Regards,

Lynn
