Optical component growth figures: upside.com "Sales of optical equipment is increasing by tens of billions of dollars over the next couple of years," says Tam Dell'Oro, founder of The Dell'Oro Group. She predicts 69 percent growth for optical networking equipment sales in the year 2000, compared with 15 percent growth for hubs, switches, and routers.
