I think is the key here. You need to have a fairly good technical read as we approach that level or you can potentially get whipsawed.

even tho you say you're neutral (w/ a "slight' bias :-), you're really trading the trend more (in addition to collecting the prems)
you're obviously a much better trader than you say
and anyone lurking about should not think it's easy as writing straddles on futures :-)
