Hi Maartens. CD is, to me, like a rich aunt, that you can't stand, but you know will leave you lots of money. This stock has been torture, having finally made a run to the mid 20's then came all the way back to 16-17. CD has done everything they said they would to clear their name: they sold off non-core assets, stopped buying companies, bought back a ton of stock, settled the shareholders suits. they have very profitable franchises that are well run. they are developing an intelligent internet strategy, and John Malone has invested in them. So yes, I think 18 is a good entry point. then again, i've thought that at 12,16,18,22,24,20,18, etc etc. I think CD is one of the outstanding value play, providing one is innoculated against boredom. I expect CD to trade between 35-40 before the end of 2001, perhaps sooner and perhaps higher. jmho. larry
